They look a bunch nicer then I expected. They are going in a twinned DD LB7 to get abused. They look to be a good middle ground, for those not wanting to spend the extra coin on Carrillos.

My understanding is they only Made 10 sets on the first run, those ten sets were purchaced by socal, no more to be made to for atleast 10 weeks! This is what i was told on the phone by Manley anyhow, take it for what its worth!

Last time SOMEONE tried a "middle ground" rod, it didnt turn out well.

Hopefully these prove to work nicely, although for a "middle ground" rod I would expect the price to be less than $2k. I mean for only a couple hundred bucks more you can have a bulletproof-proven set of carillos...

I didn't know they offered a set with arp 2000s, I had only seen the price on the 625s that what I referring to in comparison to the carillo price

I think Manley knows what they're doing with connecting rods.

Also that certain someone had zero experience manufacturing engine components. I would say manley has that covered.

There has been at least one major rod mfr who didn't get the Dmax rods right. Not DuramaxTuner, a real rod maker. They bent the beam significantly when big power was applied.

Competition is good. Hope these are tough rods.

They should have atleast put a real pic of the rods lol. They were around that price though. Saving $400ish dollars on a mild build is a big chunk if your only wanting a mild build (cut stock pistons, gaskets, studs, bearings, key cam/crank). Less then $4k in the build after balance.

Now you're talking.:thumb: Good luck with them.

I was hoping others saw the pricing as well. I was disappointed to say the least with the original pricing on this board.

I don't believe Guy would allow these to be sold if they weren't up to his specs. Bet they're underated as well.:thumb:
