I'm curious as to what I can do to make my 06 Lbz leave hard in 4x4 on street tires. I will be building a set of fully adjustable traction bars here soon. How should I adjust them for the track? I have already decranked the front all the way, and installed a 3" drop shackle and removed the overload leaf. I have tie rod sleeves, nothing else in the front end. I'm also running some cheap Monroe shocks on 275/55r20 continental performance street truck tires, 480 tread wear. I'm broke as hell being only 17 and still going to school full time, but I want to make this thing as fast as possible in full street trim with a stock tranny. That's my biggest limiting factor.
How do I get it to leave hard and straight at 7000#? What shocks are you high horsepower guys running? Are they mounted in the factory location?
How are you guys leaf spring packs set up?
How are your traction bars adjusted?
What about getting the front end to leave straight?
Plan on doing the weld in idler arm support, what about a centerlink support?
Any ideas? I'm relying on making the truck hook and go vs making a shit ton of power to be fast. Already have 4" straight exhaust and an AFE cold air, EFI live tunes from Kory will also be on the way soon. Also plan on a transgo jr with springs from Mike L to get cut time spent shifting to a minimum and save my poor 260k mile Allison. I hate to sound too optimistic but I think with the entire chassis dialed and a stock tranny tune and the mods listed above the truck has a 13.99 in it. Someone correct me if I'm way off.
