If it has spun a bearing or out of alignment on the mains you will have to cut the block side. If you cut the block side it will change the CL. I don't care how good you are "IF" you cut the block it will change.

Unless you have thicker bearings to bring the crank back out away from the cam then absolutely it will change. It has to.

A oversize or undersize bearing is the ID not the OD. I have never seen a Bigger OD bearing for a duramax.

There are some that work for another application. But not for dmax.
The next guy that works on it will not be happy
