Main bearings wiped out!

Anyone ever have a problem with main bearings spinning in the block, #2-3and 4 are junk,#1and #5 are ok, if it's a oil issue think #1 would go first?? maybe bent crank?

Mike (MMLMM) lost his first motor to that. I think it was the #1, have to let him verify that though.

It has 79k on it, i was using pennzoil 15w40 or JD plus50,internals are stock.

Bummer Vern, I guess it was really a serious issue, and not cluster/sendor malfunction. I blame Jonathan, wasn't he driving it when the CEL first came on? If you need anything, let me know, buddy.

i remember eric merchant talking about LB7 turbo failure(loss of oil) from number 4 shifting/spinning. this was "years" ago and may have been the cam bearing instead.

Main Bearings

Like Simon said I would check the dampner. Did it have a little shake when running? Sorry to hear about your problems. Jeff

The balancer looks ok,theres a pin on the crank,and the bolt was torqued to about a zillion ft-lbs :eek: I'm not sure about the cam bearings didn't pull the cam yet,if everything goes well i'll have it out tonight.

The turbo oil line is threaded into the side of the block above the oil filter housing,it came with the htt kit.
