First thing, just to be clear you have to have tunes if you install screws. It seems obvious, but I thought I'd mention that just in case. If you're running 20 psi or so, it's unlikely you'll spin the tires, but if you want to experiment at lower pressures, say 10 psi then I'd recommend screws.

It's really easy, they sell screw for doing just this. Just mark up the wheel where you want all of the screws to go and then pre drill the wheels. Mount the tire with the tube, inflate it and install the screws, drilling them into the tire. You just need to make sure the screws you use won't go through the tire and into the tube.
