Alright guys, I'm taking a poll. I sold my Hoosier QTP 28x14.5x16 and 16x10s. I want something I can drive to the local track and not have to change out my street tires. Both tires are 29ish inches tall which I need becuase 3.42 gears are on back order. The truck should run high 9s or low tens with the triples and fueling. What kind of 60' is everyone seeing? What are the wheel weight combos? Thanks for the help Matt

Well think about it the 390 M&H's will give much more surface contact due to their width. Guys have ran really fast on the MT's. I personally wouldn't drive any one of those tires on the street.

Paint my local track is only 15 mins away. It wouldn't be a regular thing or ideal at all and I realize that. 17x10 wheels are hard to come by these days, that's the issue with the 390....the tires are about the same price.

The M/Ts are a slicks with a couple grooves and stick well. They may be street legal but tread depth is only about 1/8". Looks to me like you run over anything at all and it would be easy to lose a tire. I change mine at the track. DOT legal or not I'd never drive them on the street.

I agree, I drove mine 4 miles on the street and I felt it was unsafe, front end weight is just too much for them and I don't want to buy a new tire for a nail if I get one.

Thats what they make trailers for.....;)

x2.

Broke my LBZ back in 2010 after driving 15 hours to Denver, CO.... was F'kd...

Never again. I trailer the single cab everywhere. Not worth the hassle, and towing it nets better MPG than just driving it :D
