ltr 450 motor build

Well I was just out messing with the power commander and figured it all out. Was able to hook my laptop up to it and pull the tune off of it and check it out...I can see it and make changes but have no clue what I'm doing so I left it as it was. But atleast I know how to mess with it now.
I'm going to be ordering a wide band air fuel ratio gauge so I can dial the tuning in on it and actually see what's going on. But right now with whatever tune is on it, it runs like a raped ape. Looking at the push button tuning aspect of the power commander, it appears the fueling is set on the rich side to be safe.
Think I'm gonna wait and see what uncle Sam has in store for my tax return then order the wide band, piston and arp studs all at the same time. Then I will dial it all in on some race gas, 91 octane and probably some 100 octane. Switching tunes only takes a minute or so.
Also found out the original owner switched up the gearing perfect for the sand dunes. Stock is a 14/36 sprocket combo. I picked up a 13 tooth front sprocket and went to put it on and low and behold, already had one. Currently running a 13/42 sprocket combo with 21x12x8, 9 paddle sand tires. Should work out pretty good.

I need one of these engines to bolt on my go kart!!!! Been looking into either bolting a 450F engine or a yz250 engine on my kart for my dirt track speed needs!!! I had a yfz450 many moons ago. i would go stock bore high comp good port and polish, Good set of cams and run the balls off it.
Well alrighty, just went on a little shopping spree.
Ordered up a 13:1 CP piston kit, AEM wide band kit and ARP head studs.
Hopefully everything shows up by wednesday or thursday so i can have some fun building it and tuning it!

Got all my tracking numbers...everything is coming priority mail from surrounding states. Should all be here by Wednesday I'm hoping (tracking hasn't updated yet). Going to be a great week:woott:
