Hey everyone I’m new to the forum, and need some advice. I have a 2005 LLY 4x4. I have it currently with the rough country torsion lifts keys, sitting on 305/70R17’s. I am tired off the horrible leveled ride quality. I’m looking into the Belltech 3in drop shackles and backing off the keys to match the front. I also would like to run an 18in wheel, don’t really wanna move up to the 20in. I just need help picking a tire size that will look good with the truck lowered and not rub like crazy, and what offset/ width of rim to run.

If you don’t want to do all that work look into a set of aftermarket upper control arms. Even with the bolts out since you have aftermarket keys you’ll still be higher than stock. I know because my truck has them and is the same way. You’ll need factory keys to get flat steering and CV geometry. On my old truck I had slight pressure on my keys for flat angles and 3” shackles and it was perfectly level. As far as wheel and tire size, with 18s you can go from 9-12”. What you can fit depends on how much you like the sawzall. I ran 22x12 -44 with 305/40 lowered and didn’t rub but I cut a lot. If you keep your wheels close to 0 offset and tires around 32” you’ll be fine.

Ok I have a set of cognito upper control arms already on it, I was going to re-install the stock keys as well. I was looking into a set of 18x10 with some where around a -24 offset. I would like to have around a 32 on it when it’s all said and done. I also already have the front bumper trimmed pretty good and the “NorCal” tuck on the fender.

the lmm is going to get the 20x10’s that were on the lb7 and the lb7 already has the 20x12’s.

Hey guys some nice looking trucks here. I am curious what you did or recommend for shocks and so forth on a lowered rear? I have my overloads out and sulastic shackles with 2.5“ extensions added and the bilstein shocks. It still rides rough on bad roads. Looking for suggestions. Also have 20s and the Caltrac traction bars.
