How much triming will I need to do to run a 10 inch wheel with 4.5 bs on 35s? Front end low as it will go on stock keys lol. Front bumper removal required with this setup?

Lots of trimming, and the big issue is contact with the washer fluid resy. Mine has a giant hole in from running 35's with tbars all the way down. And I only had 2 hooks and very minimal street miles too.

Lol might need a torch and a sledgehammer to form the rear of the fender and front of cab and floor pan around the tires along with the bumper removal :D

How much trimming you talking about? I haven't trimmed anything on mine as of yet.

On the lower valance I measeured 2-2.5" iirc towards the front, then taped from that Mark at an angle up to the lower corner of the upper bumper cover and trimmed that off. On the back side of the fender I cut slits in the body crease, folded it over, then cut a slit and removed maybe half inch of material to move the lower part of the fender to match the new location of the body crease.

Used a few self tapping screws to hold back the fender liner, and there ya have it. I think what I trimmed on the fender and the body crease is similar to the norcal truck fender mod.

Thanks, going to take a look at the fenders this evening and see what I can do with it. Hope to get a lil better ride out of this thing.

I'm running 305/50-20 with the keys all the way down in the front and a 2in shackle in the rear, but the rear really need to go sown another 1-2in to look right imo.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362776508.067816.jpg djm drop hangers set on the bottom hole(2") with 3" shackles set on 3" drop. So right around 5" of drop in rear, torsion keys with bolts out in front. Mcgaughy keys will be going in after I put my wheels on. Still have overloads aswell. Running kyb shocks in rear and rancho adjustable 9000's on the front. Rides really nice!

To lower a truck you first need to look at the specs of the rims.. so, what is your backspace and offset? That alone will make or break a lowering kit on a truck.

Thanks Brian! I have a set of mcgaughy 2" drop keys just to give it a tad bit of rake in front or I may put them in and move the spring eye to the top notch of the hanger. And have the truck sit level. The 20x10 -19 offset wheels is what the deciding factor is on the front end lol. I'll have to cut some on the inner fenders but I could care less. I may not run any liners for the summer if it won't hurt anything. There wide sons of bitches

well my wheels are 20x10 bmfs there 4.75 back spacing and -19 offset probaly the worst wheels for lowering a truck but hopefully we theres some way i can make it work.

Here's with the wheels 20x10 -19 offset with 305/50 nitto 420s. 4-4.5" drop in rear right now with the overloads in and the hangers set on the lower hole. I plan on running the hangers on the higher hole and the drop keys about halfway down. Should be real close to 3" drop in front and will be a 5" drop in rear. Rubbing isn't horrible as of now. She Definatly needs to go lower I think!

So how long did it take you to do the work?

I had Justin P do the hangers at his work. Took him about 3 hours which seemed pretty quick. I put the kyb's and ranchos in the night prior to him doing the hangers. Truck rides pretty nice aswell.
