Supposedly lowered doesnt effect a thing. all the people ive talked to with lowered trucks say they pull the same, if not better then stock, i dont have one so i cant confirm but many honest/reliable people on this forum have told me they pull just fine.

That looks good! :thumb:, Anyone got a pic of their lowered truck towing a decent load (skidsteer or something similar)? Then I will quit worrying and do it already

I just finished lowering mine again, so hopefully ill be towing something big soon, as long as my air bags show up this week. Ill get some pictures of it when I do.

I put 3" drop shackles on mine and dropped the t-bars and it tows great. Seems to be more stable through the curves I guess from the lower center of gravity?

What kind of weight? When I had that same drop mine didn't like it so much, front did ride way better from no pre-load on the torsion bars but I was basically on the bump stops out back.

those of you that are running the DJM 3/5 kit did you put your t-bar bolts back to stock or keep them down?

also what back spacing of rims do you need? would H2 or stock rims work? would like to keep the wheel well as full as possible, looks weird when you have small tires on these trucks I think

My 1st djm kit i had the torsion bolts close to stock. I just re lowered it a few weeks back and only put a few turns on the bolts, i have about 2 1/2 to 3 inches of clearence between the bump stop and bottoming point. Seems to ride real nice, best of all it launches hard and straight ! I did all my adjusting at the alignment shop this time with me in the driver seat.

yes you can run h2 wheels (just threw some on my buddy Robbies truck last night after we finished throwing on the 3/5. custom 1 off h2 wheels with 285/70/17 nittos.

And you will put the torsion bar bolts closer to stock. (ideally you want the gap between fender and center of hub at 21" for alignment specs)

I took my bumps stops out.

I may have as well, but I cant remember. My truck squatted a lot with my SS on the trailer and a motor and trans in the bed. Thats why i put mine back to stock and ran bags until just recently. Had some brackets made to keep the bags with the drop so I wont have any issues this time, especially since its a ~4/6 drop now.

Here are a few pics, the top just bolts into the frame once you drill two holes, then a hole-saw to cut a notch to clear the air fitting. I would have to see about having more made. Jon didn't seem to want to, but i have the templets and could probably get some fabed up once i get moved to Tyler next month.
