My injector balance rates are near perfect. i think alot of it has to do with tranny fluid....mine has ran fine with at least a quart at EVERY fill up....i would say its safe...usually i only put about 5 or 6 gallons of fuel at a time in...Super Diesel was the one that hooked me on to the ol tranny fluid
IMHO tranny fluid is a great lubercant for the cp3 and the injectors....i wouldnt be afraid to use alittle

I don't think you can go wrong with anything Amsoil..I use there synthetic fluids and always will.
I have heard B-20 has better lubricity than standard #2ULSD, Do you think it is still necessary to put in an additive of some sort?
I run power service and they state that it is designed for the effects of ulsd. I know of many people running it in this area and it is very easy to find
Ive used 2-stroke oil, ATF, Power Service, BG, and some others. As long as im puting some lubricity in my fuel. IMO i wouldn't use used ATF without filtering it well, it has clutch material, metal and other crap in it. ATF is cheap, i dump a qt in per full tank. I think 2-stroke is a better oil to use beings its designed to be burned. All should be fine in moderation. think of the blend ratio of 1 qt of fluid added to a full tank of diesel... I will start to do this to the Benz now and the truck ill prolly run a cetane/lube additive like stanadyne since its not my DD anymore.
B20 will gel easier and holds more moisture in the fuel, so an additive for antigel is needed in the cold. I have used Diesel Plus since new and have never gelled and get+2mpg.
It varies with the fuel and the temp but maybe 20* down. Maybe more could chime in. The thing is I have NEVER gelled. I was in new york once and the temp gauge said -12*F when I hit the key 2x to preheat and started right up without a gripe. Yes you could tell it was cold but never gelled.
