have you found out anything. Im almost positive its not your converter. I got the same and it seems normal but now i got fueling issues. must come with the converter. haha cp3 i think in my case.

My truck acted similar once. The resonator had come loose from the intake allowing air to enter the intake without passing by the map sensor. It was very slow to spool but when it did finally spool it ran fine. As mentioned before I would double check for leaks between the turbo and the map sensor area.
