Truck seems to have low power on the highway. Ill be cruising and roll into the throttle and it wont do anything. I have to almost floor it to get the truck to start boosting.
I changed the fuel filter and it didn't help.
Driving on the street feels fine. Not sure what's going on. Any thoughts.

Has it always done this on your current tune or is it new. And log it obviously. See what timing, pw and pressure are.

Has anything been changed on the truck, mechanically or tuning?
Edit: nevermind on the tuning

MAF clean? is it smoking or clean when it has no power?

No nothing. Changed the converter 2 weeks ago. Didn't notice then. I put precision puller in. Once I get boost up passed 8 its fine. It just feels like its taking longer than normal.

Shoulda bought a gmc. Hasn't your truck always lacked in the power department? :)

Clean Maf, air filter may be dirty. Or maybe it could just be how this new TC feels? Was it like that after the TC was swapped?

Still say 3k rail at idle is good.

maybe lift pump then. idk. I did notice that it only does it at 1500 rpms or below on the highway locked up. I just ordered new fuel filters. we will see after that.

It won't downshift out of OD? When you roll into the throttle does it smoke like crazy? You are just rolling into the throttle ,what happens if you just floor it?

I think it's just the choice of TC you have. I believe that until you reach stall speed you aren't going to build any boost. Rolling into the throttle on the highway is no different then sitting in the staging lane building boost getting ready to launch.

The precision sledpuller is a pretty high stall converter from what I understand. This will make the truck feel weaker until it locks. Your slipping and loosing quite a bit more power vs. a stock stall speed converter. Maybe this is the issue?

It does shift out of OD. It may just be the TQ choice. I never noticed it until now.

If hes rolling into the throttle at highway speed it shouldnt matter what converter it had if its locked in. Check for air leaks pre turbo.

Well yes, check for exhaust leaks but they should be spotted pretty easily from soot tracking, what I meant was a leak in between the filter and turbo inlet
