loud knock, tickin valves

My truck started knocking louder than usual last saturday, this motor has been nosiy since day one but def got louder and I can hear what sounds like one set of valves ticking with it. I'm guessing a lock nut back off on one of the the rockers, gonna pull the covers next week, I can't hear a thump through the intake or anything, just wondering if I done messed something up or what else to do while its apart

Make sure the assembly is bolted down correctly and not to tight or loose.

Just had a bolt snap in the rocker assembly in my new motor and broke the assembly into 3 pieces. sounded like hell lol

Hard to say, it sounds like one, I listened like hell on both sides and it sounds the same so I don't think its the valves but I don't know enough about it. I just hate how it sounds. The injectors only have 20k on them and one was leaking where it came loose. I fixed that and it got real loud shortly after. Even if its normal it sounds like a pile of shit

Can you get a tech2 on it and try shutting off 1 injector at a time? You can also ramp up rail psi at idle and see if the noise changes. If it changes noise with an injector off or with rail psi up, you can tell that it's fuel related.

He is just trying bring stuff over here that he tried to start on df that got shut down. He quoted me to be condescending and to start it back up over here, which is why I said I'm not gonna argue online and we can handle things in person. Sorry for the troubles Kat :)
