LB7: Lots of black smoke in hot weather, almost none in cold?

A loss of drive pressure can definitely cause excessive smoke and poor spool up.

There isn't enough black soot around the uppipe to cause that much of a loss. But your definitely right that drive pressure loss hurts spoolup. I just don't think that's the problem. I've chased it before...

That's not gonna cause excessive smoke if it's cracked. It's in the tuning like I told you before...

It's air density. Either pull fuel out of the tune, or add boost. I just added a boost valve to mine and set it to 27 in the intake at teh IAH plug. I now have virtually no smoke on a 90 degree day whereas before I could lay out a solid haze.
