Honesty can't say. But the investigator pointed out that the pinion was up in the oil pan. Said most likely the oil caught fire.

Honesty can't say. But the investigator pointed out that the pinion was up in the oil pan. Said most likely the oil caught fire.
I was driving through snow so I was in four wheel. Heard a loud pop and the truck started shaking like it had a flat tire. I pulled over and looked under the truck and seen fire. I pulled the family out and grabbed the extinguisher. Not sure how the oil caught fire, maybe manifold. ?
