That is definitely know the top 10 of most f'd up pistons I've seen...

You should see the one out of the lb7 I bought. Problem is its in a million pieces and you can't tell its a piston..

This one is bad! Curious as if it's locked up or not?

Man that thing got hotter than hell! Hard to believe all of that damage happened in one pass. I dont think Ive ever seen a piston melted like that.

Me either. What makes you think it was an injector that did that?

Truck would still crank would not build fuel pressure and when I got the injector out you can put air to the inlet and it comes right out the nozzle

Drove it hour and a half to the track everything was good launched at maybe 12# boost cause track was cold spun off the line thinker black smoke than usual and around 3/4 down went into a bad shake and white smoke out the pipes

Back from the grave!

Day 2 after bringing my money eating monster back from the dead! 75k used lbz with one new gm piston, banana pan, arp head studs, ppe race manifolds and up pipes ( thanks to Dan@ppe thanks for the great deal). Freashned up heads, rebuilt Danville 4094 stage 2r ( thanks to mark@danville can't thank that guy enough for his time and help) and 1 rebuilt 60% over injector and 7 cleaned from exergy  last and least some paint and powder coat that no one can see now that it's back in the truck but hell I tried  all is well so far!

Picture of the fire wall after two layers of eastwoods sound deadening mate and 1 layer off under hood boom mate. Then a coat of high temp ceramic paint. Tried to Match the gray of the rest of the engine bay close and better than bright foil.
