lope tune

i have seen some youtube vids and i gotta say i like it.
but how does it work in some vids they flip a switch, so my questions are is it a tune you promgram into the pcm? is it safe to tow with it or use as a dd?or is it just for show? if someone could please explain it i would greatly appreciated. thanks!!

I hate to tell ya but you won't find much help on this forum for lope tunes or smoke switches. Probably have better luck on one of the other forums :thumb: More often than not people get hazed for it

smoke and lope is for show,this is a performance diesel site hear when you make a run and theres no smoke thats making clean effeicnt power smoke is unburnt diesel and lost power the lope tune is just the way its programed and i dont think you really want to drive it like that.If you understand that and agree thats great other wise your going to be the new fraturnity pledge once the diesel brothers see your post

A tune that lopes is one built by someone who doesnt understand what the hell they are doing. Plus, a duramax dont lope like a gasser with a big cam....each and every time that engine surges it will try to push through the brakes. That would get incredibly annoying at stoplights, no?
