I have had all that emissions crap deleted since 10000 miles or so and my mpg is way up compared to the when I had it all on

I would hope so. If I'm going to flush a 100k mile warranty I would want quite a bit better economy. Like 5+ mpg.

Warrantys are a joke anyway. Id rather enjoy the truck and make it run better, then worry about some moron workin on my truck at the stealership. I use to worry about losing my warranty, had many things screwed up over the years, after they have worked on warranty crap.

Tell me warranties are a joke when a crank breaks on a 30k mile truck and your stuck buying a $12k+ engine. I would prefer to be able to buy a truck without the added cost of having a huge warranty myself but , seeing as that isn't an option, I would choose to retain my warranty so I'm not stuck paying to fix a truck I payed good money for with a warranty.

I own roughly 10 gm trucks. Most are dmaxs. Some have 150k miles now. I own a landscaping company and they plow, pull and haul everyday. So u can say i have used many stealerships. And im tellin u right now, the motor isnt 12k for a stock one, nor would i ever think to put a stock motor back into a truck if something were to go wrong. No way.

Warranty is worthless 90% if the time imo threw all my fights with gm and dodge i could give two shits bout warranty, ive had them warranty injectors and headgaskets with al the basics before and had them tell me to pound sand on a stock truck so it's hit and miss....

I can't believe you guys go 10k ok oil changes i do mine every 3000-3500 miles

Negative, it's actually a federal crime to delete any emissions equipment. It will also require a delete software flash and then if GM requests cal info for a warranty repair they will block your powertrain warranty. They may even try to block your entire warranty.

I had no idea it was a federal crime to make changes to my own truck. I just figured it wouldn't pass inspection. Ok, so serious mods are out.... what about air intake or chips? Do they work enough to justify the cost?

Its always been a federal offense even with older trucks with egrs and cats so don't fret that much over it.....its illegal to remove factory exhaust systems gas been since before the dmax was around.

And arneson yep I've been to court twice over warranty on stock vehicles so warrantys don't really mean shit to me anymore

Well it's a good thing you can't see inside my (empty) cat then isn't it! Improved my gas mileage to almost 30 mpg highway in my 4.8 1500 WT 2WD RC LB I'm all about getting the best fuel economy using ANY means necessary! In my opinion, they should work on getting more mpg's before making them cleaner. :D Are the performance chips and air intakes worth the money in fuel savings?

yes they are depending on how you want to do it you can do it really cheap like a xrt pro,4'' single aluminzied exhaust, and a intake and be cheap. or go all out with a mini maxx, stainless exhausts ect ect

I have the Xrt pro will deletes and between mpg and no more filling the urea tank and performance gains I would say its worth it. Now I just have to wait for a break from work so I can go get mike l to do some transmission work
