title pretty much says it all, I want to run a 20x8.5 wheel, and im looking at a 285/55/20. is this going to rub? I am only doing 2" shackles in the rear. I am dropping it down due to im sick of bending shit when i do launches. So I am looking for input from people with lowered trucks. The wheels I am looking at are the KMC monster wheels. +18 offset. thanks in advance for the input guys.

also do i need to remove the cognito control arms or can they stay?

I'm pretty sure you breaking shit is caused by not setting up your suspension correctly before launching. The cognito arms can stay

Lol I won't argue this with you but I don't carry tools with me to drop the front end of the truck down if I'm out running around on the street.

Get some bigger tie rods or tierod sleeves. Or just don't launch in 4wd lol. I have a set of 20x10 -18 offset monster wheels with nitto 305/50's and my truck is lowered. Rub a bit at full lock, no big deal to me. I'll sell em to ya if you want?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1347063832.668320.jpg

Listen buster, iknow what you mean , so you're aware of what's causing your problems. Just lower your front end and put some 2" drop shackels in the rear.

Lowered trucks are gay by the way.;)

If you lower the front to stock or lower than stock with the cognito arms, you will have to remove the upper ball joint from below the a-arm and drop it through the top.

Lol lowered or lifted doesn't matter. I figure the trucks come with about 2" of rake from the factory, so I'll just put the front end back to stock, and take the 2" out of the rear. I have cog braces and sleeves on the front end already, so if I take it back down to stock height, my ball joints and tie rods will be much happier and last longer

mine with 3 inch shackles, rides n launches like a dream. Runnin 305 50's on 20x9 wheels with very minimal rubbing issues. As far as looks I'm still a little more game with factory shackles n the t bars lifted. But this is more practical for now ;)

I pulled out my t bar bolts and i'm running 20x9 -12mm 305/50/20's and don't rub at all. I also did a ton of trimming...... :) I have no steering issues and the last time i launched at the track I got carried away and left with 24lbs of boost. :)
