Looking into getting an LBZ

Dont know where to post this, so I'll try here.
Alright guys, well I posted about a month ago that I was looking at getting a DMax. I really wanted an LBZ but the truck I was going to get was an 05 CCSB LT with 42k miles for $27k Volant intake, RBP exhaust, Edge programmer, 6" RCD lift, 22" Rockstar's with 35" tires. The transmission was going bad and would need replacement soon, I've been wating on the seller to drive to me and pick up his check for the truck but he's having 2nd thoughts about.
So Im tired of wating already and lost out an a good deal already an 06 GMC LBZ, and I just found another Chevy LBZ and dont want to let it go if it's a good deal. The thing I liked about this one is that it was already modded so I wouldnt need to spend on mods.
I wasn't intrested in anything with over 50k miles but let me know what you guys think about this. Im still wating on the vin check here, but it's an 06 Silverado CCSB 4x4 LT leather, sunroof, towing mirrors, Navigation, dvd, tv's, 76k miles price is 23,999 at a chevy delaership.
I know this one's stock, but I like that it has the LBZ abd 6 speed. But what you guys think about the 76k miles? And is it a good price? It's located about a 2-3 hour drive from me, I'll probaly go look at it tommarow if I get the vin check today. I talked to the dealer already and he told me how its a nice truck and that he's owned 2 03's. So I don't know if he'd lower the price.
1. How do you guys go about making a negotation when buying a truck/car at a delaership? Im 21 and this would be my first purchase through a delaership, everytime I've gone to delaerships they act like they're alredy giving the deal in the world. I have an approved loan through my bank already, so he wouldn't have to worry about getting me approved. Any pointers, advice?
2. I asked him about warranty also, and he says that he can offer a GM warranty since it's a GM delaership.

I'm not sure where you live but these trucks are dime-a-dozen around here right now. There are over 50 04-07's within 50 miles of my house on autotrader. So I would say try to be patient for the right truck to come along. You'll know when you see it. It took me over 4 months to find my truck back in 05 and I was looking for a new one. Then ended up getting a used truck with 10k for $10k cheaper than new.

As far as the truck you are looking at, mileage isn't a big deal on these as long as the previous owner took care of it. My 04 has 65k and you would think it was brand new. The frame doesn't even have any rust on it after 4 hard midwest winters.

Just remember when you walk into the dealer that he needs you to buy the truck. With diesel anywhere from $4.60-$5+, diesel trucks are not exactly flying off the shelf. Just do you're homework on what other similar trucks are going for and set your price. The worst thing the dealer is going to do is say that he won't sell for that price. Unless you absolutely need a truck, you've got the ball in your court.

I can't comment on warranties, as I don't have an extended on my truck.

Look at the truck go in and instad of 23,000 down lay down 20,000 and tell him thats all u got. They will make sure its paid off

I have a buddy that has one here is the discripting he gave its a 4x4 with 30k on it

I'm asking $30,000 obo. Here are the details.

Up for sale is a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD. This may be a long description but I am very particular and want to give a potential buyer as accurate description as possible, so please read on. This particular truck is a Crew Cab and also has 4WD with the electronic transfer case. The exterior color of the truck is the stunning Greystone Mettalic and has less than a handful of paint flaws. The interior is the Charcoal cloth with a front bench seat. There are no tears or flaws at all. I am extremely particular and could point all three paint flaws on the spot. The truck is washed and waxed on a regular basis and is a road queen, the closest thing to off-roading it has seen is parking in a friends yard. This truck is the LBZ duramax with 360hp/650lb./ft. of torque, mated to an Allison 6-spd. automatic and also the electronic transfer case. The differential gearing on the truck are 3.73’s. The exterior features of the truck are abundant. It has a GM smoked bug guard and I put this on to protect the hood from rock chips. Also there are the GM molded mud guards with the Chevy emblem on them. The truck also has Nasta brand stainless tube steps. I also had a Line-X bedliner sprayed in black with the Chevy logo in the bed and also on the top of the bed sides which has a lifetime warranty. I also opted to change the clearance lamps out for a set of RECON clear lenses which blend well with the paint and also have LED lights in them. A bolt over billet grille is also on the truck. I have a high beam mod which keeps the low -beam lights and fog lights on when the highs are turned on. High,low and fog lights all have Sylvania Silverstars. As for rolling stock the truck has two sets of wheels and tires, including a full size spare. I have the stock polished aluminum wheels which look great. I used them during the winter months. They have Toyo Open Country A/T’s that are 285/75r16 in size. They only have about 9000 mi. on them and have had no punctures or patches. The real attention getters for this truck are the 20’s that I have on it. They are CHROME American Racing Wolverines. They are 20x9 in size and are wrapped in Toyo Open Country A/T’s that are 305/50r20 in size. These tires have about 15000mi. on them. The reason why I chose these tire for both sets are for three reasons: Minimal road noise, excellent wear and they are a non-directional tire which makes rotating them a breeze. I have leveled the truck out with green keys and in turn put on Bilstien 5100 series zinc plated shocks and also ride out very smooth for this size of truck. In all honesty, it rides smoother with the 20’s on than my parent’s truck which is bone stock with the thick sidewall tires. The interior is pristine and there are no tears on the seats. No stains on the carpet and I religiously covered it with floor mats to be sure. I had the front windows tinted to match the rear. The truck has an in-dash CD player and is also equipped with On-Star and XM ready. This truck also has the electrochromic rearview mirror with automatically dims and is equipped with a compass. I also have an AstroStart 2-way remote start which is very useful on cold morning and hot afternoons. The performance mods are rather mild for this truck but make it fun to drive. All stock parts are included with the sale. I have a Bully Dog Triple Dog with the Outlook Monitor The Outlook monitor mounts to the A-pillar and performs the same function as analog gauges but in a digital monitor which can adjust the power levels of the chip on the fly. I have a full MBRP exhaust with Cool Duals from the flange back. It is extremely quiet at cruising speed and does not have any annoying drones to it. I also put on a BD Performance manifold to take care of the kink of the factory driver-side manifold so it flows evenly and also came pre-tapped for a pyrometer which is connected to the Outlook monitor of the chip. For induction I put on an aFe stage 2 intake and blocked the EGR valve to keep the intake air cleaner which helps with fuel mileage. There have never been and problems with the transmission. I have not limped it due to the extra power, nor has the truck pulled any loads over 5k lbs. As for maintenance all proper measures have been taken. Filters and fluids have been taken care of religiously. Also have the lube points on the chassis. I am just as particular properly maintaining the truck as I am making sure it cosmetically looks good. I will be adding interior pictures momentarily, and specific pictures are available upon request.

We'll I checked out the truck, it was still in the back getting serviced. The hood was opened and they had a funnel taped up for the oil. The service guys were gone so I couldn't really check it out well or drive it. I did notice that the pipe on the right side the downpipe I believe was coverd in gunk/residue, any idea what causes that?
They didn't want to work on the price because they thougt that it must have been a misprint to start off because it was 10k under retail, but since it was advertised on the net they have to sell it at that? I tried but I couldn't get them to work anything out, the warranty is a GMPP the guy ended up offering me the 3 year/30,000 for the price of the 2 year/ 30,000 for $2,250. They took down all my info and loan stuff, and the truck should be ready to buy tommarow, so I can test drive it and if I like it I can take it home tommarow. Another diesel guy told me to check the pitman and idler, and to lift the truck and move wobble the tire at 12 and 6 o clock to make sure the bearings are good. The piman is were the balljoint is at right? How do I make sure it's good?
