My truck sounds nice with the 4 inch MBRP turbo back. I'm gonna be towing for a 18 hour clip. Almost no drone at 2200 rpms, but starts to drone at about 1800 and I've yet to do the down pipe. If you're looking for a nice deep tone especially when you get on it. This is a nice system! I'd leave it if I wasn't gonna be towing. It sounds like a flow master on a old chevy small block to me, just my opinion.

Lol you are right it's just a matter of time $$$ I've never rode in a gas truck that puts a smile on my face the way this truck does..

Mines an 04 and it's the only vehicle I've ever owned that I just can't get sick of. Lol. And I've had my fair share. So glad I bought a duramax

I hate to steal your thread but I am looking to awaken my truck.. When you guys say drone? I guess I don't get it lol am I gonna get tired of the noise? I grew up in straight piped 12 valves lol so I don't mind the noise but we never bought an exhaust kit .. I will be doing the EGR and DPF delete with a tuner all at the same time .. What am I gonna be happy with lol 4" 5" ? Muffler no muffler? There's to many dang choices
Your LMM isnt going to be as loud as an LB7, the variable vane turbo's quiet exaust allot. You may like it straight piped.

I have a crazy idea, ya'll tell me what you think. I may install my cat in front of my Banks muffler and in front of the cat put an e-cutout. Make a bypass loop around the cat and muffler and have it Y back in behind the muffler. Then all my exaust will exit through the tailpipe and also the cat will quiet the exhaust allot when I'm in highway mode. I know the cat is a smaller diameter but it wont matter cruising and playing on the street.

I put a 4in exhaust on a buddys 05 LLY years ago and it didn't sound any different than it did with the stock exhaust idling.

For an LB7 I would do the diamond eye quite tone or a resonator from MBRP or whoever less sells them.
