I'm looking for clear diesel line to put before and after fuel filter housing.

I looked on ebay, all I can find is either not fuel safe, or not reinforced to hold vaccuum, or red...

I don't want to get stranded in middle of nowhere if it's not the right kind

I think the size is 3/8" IIRC

The p.o. put clear line on mine and it was very hard and brittle, it never gave me any problems, but I always intended to change it out. It really didnt help me see clearly because it was discolored.

My 2000 Volkswagen Jetta has a piece of clear line coming from the fuel filter to the VP44 injection pump. It seems to hold up perfectly fine after 15 years. I'm not sure on the type or part number on it, but that maybe the route to look into.

When I worked at NAPA we sold diesel safe line that was clear, you might check with them. They should be able to find it through Gates or Balkamp. I can't remember what line carried it.

dunno where I mesured 3/8 back then, but alright. 1/2 it is.
I saw those on the volkswagen, but it's tiny.

It seems everything for fuel is yellow. Tygon or pvc line. Not sure if it's clear enough to see air bubbles like the line on the vw

NAPA has nothing being im in canada. they dont even have 1/2 in regular rubber tubing

As for the reason, Im trying to see if I air being pulled in. My pump seems to be deprived of fuel on hard accel. Will also change the rubber lines on the driver side

tried mcmaster...this is their reply

Hi,

Due to the complexity of U.S. export regulations, McMaster-Carr accepts international orders only from businesses. This decision also applies to orders shipping within the United States, because it is based on the final destination of the items. We cannot accept this order or future orders.
