It's called inflation. It's the entire economy, let alone used diesel pickups. The demand for a good diesel pickup is higher than ever in most areas but supply is not there. Add to that the fact that new prices go up every year, and the used prices skyrocket. If you paid $4xxxx for a new truck back in 06 or whenever, price a new one with the same options. Its not $4xxxx anymore.

You make a good point. The 06 I bought new for 32k would probably cost 50k today.

i sold my loaded 06 ccsb lbz for 24,500 with 155,000 on it. it had a built trans and efi tunes by rob and all the supporting mods. i had 5 phone calls the first day and i had people offering me more than my asking price if i would sell it to them first. lbz are what everyone wants, no dpf, a very solid motor, and the 6 speed trans. a truck with less than 50k on it would sell for 35k where i live.

I was asking 24k about 6 months ago for mine with 98K miles and o rust and had no takers on FB CRollers, craigs, word of mouth.ect... I WANT A 15

i just bought a 2006 chevy ccsb in that same color scheme loaded in pristine condition with 65000 miles on it and an edge tuner for $27k. i feel that $35k is way over priced especially if its been sitting on the lot for a while and has an oil leak. is it stock or built?

Ca vehicle are always on the higher side for the economy here and the condition is usually better than the rest of the country because of weather and road conditions. Im not saying the price is great just saying that is what the market is here. I did find a few other trucks in other areas i could have save a few bucks on but they werent in great condition.I also got warranty to 100k . this truck is as stock as they come, for now.
