Looking at a LB7 tomorrow and was wondering what to look out for? Tt has 270,00 miles on it and on the original injectors
New clutch and flywheel, 2 wheel drive, regular cab, 2 owner truck and this guy has had it since 30,000 miles. he's asking $6900 which i think is a little steep but its a ZF6. Not sure what kind of value that adds but it looks like a clean truck. Either way it's going to need injectors at some point.

Thoughts or opinions? Thanks

Price probably depends on the area and how bad u want a zf. Standards are popular around here I couldn't talk the guy down a cent on mine as he had people up his ass about it because it was a zf. I bought a 4x4 reg cab 02 with a zf. Ragged out and a wrecked up bed with 275,000 miles and I payed 7,250 for it. That one looks pretty good from the pic.

Around here people are looking for ccsb mainly. I want it because its manual :D but don't want that to cloud my judgement. Just want feedback from other owners. Would make a nice welding rig for sure.

Yeah mine is a ccsb manual so he had a mob after him but thankfully I worked third and went down there during the day and got money down on it before someone else did. Would be a nice rig. Just get rid of that dual mass flywheel if u get it.

Ill have to read up on that. Does it matter that it has a new flywheel and clutch or is it just a bad design that needs to be changed?

Well went and looked at it and talked him down to $5500. The oil wasn't milky and didn't smell like diesel. Think I'm gonna pull the trigger unless anyone has a good reason not to.

Seems like a good truck, for a good price. I don't see any glaring reason not to. As long as you looked it over real well, and you know you'll be doing injectors sooner than later.

Got the go ahead from the financial advisor, should be in my possession tomorrow afternoon :D Didnt realize how expensive those Knapheide beds are. Pretty stoked to get a welder on this bad boy and put it to work!
Here's one more pic just for fun

That would be a sweet ride. Zf trucks are a blast to drive.

I think you may be a bit biased lol it has a different feel to it than any other manual vehicle I've driven. Just gotta get use to it I reckon. That and the noise difference from the lbz

It's a done deal, officially a lb7 owner. Looks right at home in the driveway. :woott:

Right now the plan is just to fix the little stuff and clean it up real good, new fluids and filters, and pressure wash all the mud off underneath.
