I am seriously considering buying Ben's box for my truck. My question is is it worth it on a 550 hp street truck? My truck just seems to hang out and rev and if a lockup box on a duramax makes anywhere near the difference it does in the way the truck pulls as it does on my buddies cummins (don't see why it wouldn't) then i think im gonna get one. Anyone on here with one have any input?? :thumb:

Kevin they are a for sure need.Haven't had my truck to the track since mine was put in but it's incredible and the truck is way faster with my big 315s I've got some boost leaks right now and work is busy in the shop right now but I'm expecting low 11s after a diet and the lock up box.DO IT!

Sent from a black cloud and the smell of burnt rubber.

I've installed quite a few of them and they work. Nothing but compliments from my friends and customers.

If the converter isn't locking up once the truck hits second then I would say the box is worth it. Mine would occasionally not lock at all, even in the higher gears. Lockup box has solved that issue. Also might be worth trying an 01 trans file. Between the 2 of them my truck shifts better on the street and locks up earlier when I'm beating on it.

I have ran mine with the stock turbo and now the twins. Absolutely love it and would have it any other way! Solid lockup you can rely on!

I am running the fleece ally locker. I actually have an extra ally locker if you are interested.

Lock-up box is def a good idea. I've tried just about all of them and currently have ATS's box in. Patiently awaiting Braydens new and improved ally locker, from what he tells me it will be plug in play with no splicing and will have multiple features.

exactly. if your achieving lockup halfway through 2nd gear and up from a dig start on your biggest tune, you wont notice much difference unless you are doing sled pulling and need the unlock function at the end.

In a drag racing and sled pulling application they are definitely worth it... However no it will not feel like a Cummins does when manual lockup is applied

My buddy has a 13mm ppump and an s480 on his 94 dually. Doesnt feel that fast until it starts to spool and he flips the switch and all 4 rear wheels start billowing white smoke at 50mph+. Come to Jesus indeed :roflmao:

Thats him. Truck is a monster. Currently has a 2,6 cover on it but he has a legit 480 on its way.

ahem....;) :D. "you mean that black box down there isnt the BCM? Steve and i swore that was it!" :roflmao:

:spit:

Its odd when you hit the lockup controller and the truck would die. Guess I was pulling too much power from the ECM main power fuse :roflmao:
