LBZ: Location of #s on Duramax to verify LBZ

1st)
I found a Duramax engine 2006 in a garage complete, I need to verify if this is a LBZ before I buy it.

2nd) Can you install a LBZ in a LB7, 2500HD

1. Look and see if it has a grid heater on the EGR riser, and no FICM box on top of the pass side valve cover.

2. Yes, but there's more to it then drop in and go

2) if it is a 2003-2004 LB7 is it doable with some work. If it's a 2002 or older, probably not worth the insane complexity and cost.

Thank you, U guys saved me 3,500.00. this motor has only 48K miles on it. Looks like hell in photo. Even the aftermarket oil filter is beat to death. Not a good sign. Thanks again

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the glow plug controler mount differently too .

If anybody around FL. Wants to split this motor with me let me know. All I want are the injectors. Unless the OP has changed his mind since I spoke with him, he does not need it.
