I am currently a Marine Corps drill instructor and one thing I instill in my recruits it to not act that way and how it is not acceptable because it will affect everyone

I guess in a way, its like being a celebrity, you hafta hold your own self and actions to a higher standerd. Cuz if not, stuff like that happens, or you get nailed for makin an unwise choice.
I have had many, many marines in my shop over the years and every one of them was respectfull and called me sir. What a great bunch of guys.:thumb:

I agree with ya mack. For one that guy was that big, for 2 he was picking on a little guy, and for 3 if u could actually find this tool josh id do it for free. I hate guys like this. But then again im not afraid of anyone. But im also over 250lbs. Helps alittle. Size really doesnt matter tho, it helps. Butthat guy needs to meet someone alittle more capable he saw a timid smaller guy and wanted to release some anger.
A agree with most others every marine friend i have, also treats others with respect. They dont act even close to that guy, drunk or not.
Wow unbelieveable,no wonder reg cabs have the wire headache rack and make dumbsass drunks sit in the back seat.Hope this guy gets caught.
I researched this a little he is a Marine. he is a instructor at the Marine Corps MARSOC command. He is a pretty highly decorated Marine. He was admitted into a Physc ward immediatly folling the incident and has yet to be turned over to the authorities. Like I said originally I guarantee this gets chopped up to PTSD. Some good Marines that I have worked with it the past have gone crazzy like this and spent alot of time in Treatment for PTSD.
Feel bad for the guy if thats the case. Couple my friends are not the same as before, but are not that far gone. Hope he gets his head straight again. And apologizes to the cab driver.
Like I said dont get me wrong I dont condone the behavior nor do I think it is excuseable but there is something more underlining here. I thoughts and prayers to the cab driver hope he pulls through. No one deserves this no matter what the other persons problems were.
Thank you and I agree. Everyone likes to generalize. I really like all the guys saying "I'd shoot him" let me know how getting your ass whipped constitutes the use of deadly force. Also I am from Alaska a state with probably the most lax nonexistent gun laws and you would be in jail for murder.
Yeah.. I have seen people personally effected by ptsd... Good friend of mine from high school went to the Marines and got blown up by an IED back when I was a freshman in college.. His one leg still doesnt work right, and the emotional stress I have seen that kid go through is so disturbing I cant even describe it.. I've never seen some chug down half a bottle of JD like that or chain smoke 2 packs a day... He almost stabbed one of our other friends on 4th of july because he was so drunk and the fireworks freaked him out.. We had to knock him out before he hurt anyone or himself.. I mean its not an excuse for what happened, but I have never seen anyone be changed so much from the person they were...... Its hard to watch.
This all happened right by where I live too... Its a shame
