Edit, just realized you said your were trying to read TCM at the bottom....

Do this...shut key off, unplug everything, close out of efi.

plug v2 into usb on pc
wait until v2 starts up and there is the menu
plug into truck
turn truck to run
double click the tune file and efi opens
go up and hit the red arrow

Id OS numbers are the same, hit the skinny red arrow, if the os #'s are different, hit the fat red arrow (only if the tune is for your truck...)

happened to me last week, I did what mike said.

Removed efi completely, started the truck to make sure it wasnt screwed, then I plugged everything back in selected the calibration I wanted to load, selected LLY ECM and it flashed fine

Maybe there is something with your aftermarket stereo messing with it. Even though you pulled the fuse. I have heard of that happening before. Since the stereo was added since the last time you have flashed your truck.

wait, are you trying to read a dsp tune out of your truck? or any non stock tune for that matter? Can you flash a tune in (I see that your suggesting put it back to stock).

I haven't tried flashing the tune since I tried first time I'm just trying to read my tune out of the truck to see if it is connecting to ECM would flashing a tune be diff then reading a tune in a way of connecting to ECM? I tried scan tool and that connected so idk why it won't connect when I'm trying to read. and I don't think this tune is a diff OS it is jus my street tune from u I'm worried about frying my ECM that's why I'm just reading tunes or trying to

Does the truck still run?

Click on the status button and get a status check and you can also try running a test.

I had this happen once on a lbz. I ended up taking the battery cable off for a while and restarting my computer and then it worked. I don't know if that was the right thing to do or if it was just coincidence but it worked:D and I was getting desperate

Try un hooking the batteries for a bit.
Also can you just un plug the stereo?
You don't have an alarm do you?
Nothing plugged into the cog lighter?
Nothing wired in right at the obd port?
Can you measure voltage at obd port?
How many volts at battery when flashing?
Is the onstar fuse pulled (wonder if its wigging out now that you don't have factory deck)

i will try batteries today
i can easily unplug the streo i was going to try that first
i do not have an alarm
nothing is plugged in
there is nothing wired into to OBD port
how do i measure volate at obd port?
how do i check how many volts are at my battery when im flashing a tune?
i do not have onstar

a couple people were thinking my radio is drawing the power from the ECM so if that is the fact and i pull my radio and it works...will my dsp nto work? or does it not draw that much power? if the radio is taking it from the ecm i would figure my dsp wouldnt work then either
