Loading a tune and now a noise?

There was a scripting problem back in 7.5.5 (build 72) which was detected about 5 or 6 weeks ago. Please make sure you are not running that build, and that you have updated to 7.5.5 (build 77). To update simply click on Start->All Programs->EFILive->V7.5->Tools->Check for New Updates.

I doubt this is the issue you describe simply because your tune has been checked by LBZ and if this was the issue he would have found problems with both timing and fuel. However, more information on the scripting issue can be found here http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=9498

I'm not sure what Pat's issue is with scripting, AFAIK the feature worked flawlessly until build 72, and again since build 74. I'd be interested in understanding any other issues.

Cheers

One strange thing I noticed, the size of the .tun file is ~1300kb. Normally, they are around the 880-890kb range.

IS there maybe something attached to the .tun file I couldn't see?
Maybe it's corrupted?

I'd suggest that the user has updated to build 77 and has open and resaved his tune to allow LBZ full flashing. Resaving the file adds about 500K to the file size. http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=9671

To be honest, I never really looked into the fuel and timing tables as this issue was happening with the engine off:D Moving forward though, I will have another look. Is there anyway to tell with which build the tune was scripted? (if it was a 72 or a 75 or a 77 etc.?)

Ok, I went over it last night and compared it with a couple of other tunes I have including a stock one. Nothing particularily unusual jumped out at me so I believe it scripted just fine!

I just updated everything a few days ago. So I think I'm good to go in that department.

Oh well. Live and learn. I actually haven't worked on the tune since I fixed the "noise" issue.

For some reason, when it's downshifting, it's like asking it to fly to get it to accelerate again. Weird?!?!

Looks like if the upper right hand corner of the target vane position in outside the parameters of the min or max it will do this:confused:

Sorry I missed your post.

I just pasted the stock tables back into my modded tune. The tune sent to me was very odd on the values that was in the tables, heck, some have 0 in the cells..
