Hey guys,

New to the forum and duramax's. I have a 2010 duramax bone stock with 305000 km (190000 miles) and there is a low pitch whine at low RPMs. It does it warm and cold. After 1800 rpm there is no noise. Turbo maybe? It doesn't leak past the seals and spools up great. no smoke. Any thoughts?

One option would be to remove the serpentine belt and see if the noise persists. If it goes away, you know it is on the front of the engine attached to the belt. Alternator. idlers, compressor, etc.
