Just buy one of each then you have the best of both worlds! It does get a bit pricey outfitting multiple diesel trucks with all the engine mods, turbos, trans, fuel systems. A guy has to do what they have to do. Just take it easy on the sheep Mike lol!

My sheep work out every day. ;)

Wait, so you have 35s or the LB7 had 35s, and if you have 35s, you run 8.0s on them? Just a little confused.

While we are on the topic of tire size effecting power, What is the most effective size to match with the 3.73 gear. I jumped up to a 305/55R20s from a 265/70R16 and it seemed to drive better and the turbo spooled better. I am not sure if it was because it is loading the engine more or just because it lowed my final drive ratio.

Should feel slower with the bigger tires. I know mine does!

Both of us were on 35s. 8.0 on 28 inch tires;) just put that in there so folks would know truck is making ~500whp. And apparently the other guy was too:rofl:

Got it. I was going to say, 8.0 on 35s is impressive! Nothing wrong with a good running Duramax, regardless of the model.:thumb:

Ahhh.....remember the day's when everyone was like "If I had 500hp I would be happy!" :roflmao:

Now you can get 500 out of an LML with a tune and lift pump!

love my lb7, if it lost some rolling weight it would probably be a different animal. Still moves well though.

My new goal is 700hp

Turbo
60% overs
Stock cp3 ??? 10mm later on.

Bolt on a Danville 68 stage2r and a set of 100's add a 10mm pump and you are waaaay there!

or you could always go the Fleece cheetah billet 63 and it will get you to 7 with that much fuel also.

X2 on the Danville 68mm stg2r

If you like whistlely things it doesn't get any better than this turbo. Yesterday I was driving home from work following another guy I worked with. He said with me driving behind him doing 60 he could hear my turbo whistling over his huge mud tires, his turbos (drives ecoboost) and his radio.

It's definitely a head turner...

Would somebody be willing to send me a video of wot pull, in cab? I like turbo whistle. But I'm real picky on how the exhaust note sounds.

i have no answer on the billet wheel 475. i would look at the map and flow numbers of it and compare it to the s480, then make your decision. i have contemplated throwing a billet wheel in the 480 as Coker (Russ) had done that on his 80 over 64 and said it helped power come on a bit sooner but honestly, it drives so well, i dont wanna mess with it. yellowchevy (another damn Russ :roflmao:) has been pushing me to put the stock wheel back in the stock charger to see what kind of differences i see but again, it drives so well :D.

i really wish i had a VGT setup. i would be all over a 68mm stage2r and a 483 on top of it. :happy2:

Get a adjustable rheostat knob and solder it to the vane sensor.

Instant Drop in lly turbo. The pedestals are close if not identical and you control whistle and boost on the fly. I have a buddy who wired it to his footpetal so as he accelerated it cracked the vanes open. It was a batshxt crazy idea but it smoked like hell and ran amazing
