Had a great time at Texas Diesel Nationals!! Met some guys from the forums and finally put a face to a name. It was a pleasure meeting you all. ;)

The ol' truck did pretty good. Made it all the way down to 3rd place in the Super Diesel 11.90 class when I screwed up at the light. Purely driver error on that one! I tried 3 times going down the track to reach the dsp5 and hit tune 5 to try to push the other guy past 11.90 but that dang seat belt was locked so I gave up. Probably better for the motor that I didn't reach it anyway! :thumb:

My cousin's twin turbo lmm dualy has me by .02 (11.83 vs 11.85) on fastest times now! lol he's rubbing it in! we pulled his weight down and ran the drag radials on his truck friday night and he did great!

1 of the runs during the races was a 11.900 at 104mph, I let out at the end of the track to keep from breaking out. Pretty sure that run would have been my best pass for sure, I left too hard and new I would be below a 11.90 so I stayed in until the very end. Leaving at around 13psi seemed to put me right at that 11.90-12.0 range. Just gotta keep her at that 11.90 range!:woott:

swapped tires, loaded up and went back to Houston last night. No problems, still running like a champ. Even whipped a C6 vette on FM1960 a few miles from home. He was giving it hell from light to light so I got beside him at about a 40mph roll, he took the bait and as soon as I saw his car lift I nailed it and pulled by 2 car lengths. He had the biggest grin on his face and a thumbs up out the window when he passed by as I turned off. Hell of an ending to a great weekend!!! :woott::woott::woott::woott:

Yes, 11.90 at 104mph was braking at the end. The guy I ran against was side by side and I let out before the end. He ran a 11.7 and I ran the 11.9. I knew I would break out, I was under 11.90 unless I left softer than normal and that run I left with a 1.61 60'. Easily would have broke out had I not braked

Truck was running good and consistent. Based purely on the boost at launch, it would be a 11.9-12.2 at 112-113. I had done variation because I was nervous... Beginner problems! Lol

The traction bars helped smooth everything out too.

Tried to leave around 13psi. Previously at the track, I would leave at 18-21psi for my best 60' on drag radials.

What have you been leaving at?

Matt had a funny quote! Walked over to my truck with the good up and said, "looks like the Incredible Hulk blew a load under here!" :roflmao: He had some other good ones too, Matt was on a role!

Well.... She started up and made another day driving around Houston. :thumb:

according to Matt, this truck is like one of those battered house wives you hear about on the news. Her husband just keeps beating her but she keeps coming back. If he didn't beat her, she would think he doesn't love her anymore! :roflmao::rofl::D

Those LMM's are some tough sum bitches...

I beat on mine for almost 7 years and she never skipped a beat. I think GM hit one out of the park with this one...

I sure hope I didnt screw up selling her for the new model...

Sounds like my dakota. I've totaled it 3 times and keep rebuilding it…mostly because I break stock stuff and replace it with race stuff! haha. I'm putting slicks on it this week, all I have left is front runners and line lock and I'll be as done as I can be with a V6 (I like being different) and still be street & emissions legal.
