Is there control switch for the factory driving lights in the bumper, or are they just supposed to come on automatically when running low beams?

Got this '08 Sierra Friday, and the driving lights don't ever come on, low beam or high, and I cant find any other switch to turn them on. If their supposed to work automatically, I may have a fuse issue or something. There's a added silver toggle switch on the dash to the left of the steering wheel, but I don't think it's even hooked to anything, no idea what it was ever used for. I don't know how to take any of the panels off on the dash and don't want to break anything tinkering and looking. Need to get a manual of some type for this truck, but haven't found one locally. I don't even have a owners manual to look in, and haven't had any luck finding one online.

Underyour light switch knob you turn is a button you push. Have to do it everytime you start the truck. Will get a green light on cluster for it.

HAHA, I would have sworn I had pushed, pulled twisted EVERYTHING on that dash trying to see if I could find a switch I was missing. Obviously I had not pushed everything!

thanks

since it's all right there together, is there a mod already posted on tieing the wire that controls the driving lights into a wire off the headlight switch? doesn't seem like it would be very difficult as they're right there together. Did it on my Ultra Classic so spots stay on all the time, high or low beam, couldn't be much different.
