So thinking about building my lmm to handle 650-700hp range safe and reliable.

After a recommended parts list of what to use in the engine, dont need info on turbo or fuel as I have that sorted.

This is what I already have as I was planning on not building or this kind of power but have changed my mind
Socal af cam
Socal damper
Arp headstuds
Arp rocker bolts
Heads are being rebuilt with stainless extremely duty valves
Trans is being built with a limitless kit.
Suncoast flex plate.

So what else will I need to purchase for the internals of this lmm.
Also been thinking of getting it balanced but guessing I need a zero balance flex plate then is that correct ?

Well obviously pistons but what ones, if that it pistons only to make that power safe and it to be reliable ?

This is why I was asking for a parts list of what's required, and in some kind of detail on what pistons were used ect.

1) Wagler budget kit
2) Billet flexplate of choice - NOT ZERO BALANCE (watch SunCoast as around Christmas of last year I got my billet flexplate for $450 shipped)
3) 3388AF or 6480AF cam (if choosing 6480af, have wagler add valve reliefs)
4) ARP head/main/rocker bolts/flexplate bolts/crank bolt
5) Valve springs of your choice (COMP Cams has a nice kit that actually is lighter than the SoCal behives)
6) Pushrods of choice (SoCal, Merchant, Wagler)
7) New lifters (GM)
8) New oil cooler (GM)
9) New oil pump (GM)
10) LH oil pump nut (GM)
11) New retaining bolt (GM)
12) Mahle-Clevite gasket set
13) Oil pressure relief valve seal (GM)
14) Oil pump to block seal (GM)
15) Engine dipstick tube seal (GM)
16) Cam position sensor (GM)
17) Crank position sensor (GM)
18) Cam position sensor seal (GM)

Reason I say DO NOT go internal balance as the added cost isn't worth it IMO on anything but a billet crank.

PM me and I can give you some PNs/my excel sheet from building my engine.

I also can get you set up with GM parts at a cheaper than over the counter rate as I own an auto shop and am set up for a pretty hefty discount on all parts.

Cheers mate, so the list of parts I put up is what I already have, will have alook at the wagler budget kit.

Sweet no need to sell my new flex plate then as it was a socal billet but balanced,

With the cam I already have a socal af cam standard spec, is it worth going the street strip ?

With the gm parts, not sure you can help due to I live in Australia.

A 3388AF is a great cam. It just loses power around 4k rpm compared to a 6480

Could I get away with Rods, pistons and all the other stuff mentioned as looking at the wagler kit it comes with a new crank, guessing the stock crank doesnt like power ? Just trying to save some cash here

I’ve never built a motor so I’m just going off what I’ve seen and read. Budget rods like Brian Crower or I believe Wagler makes a budget rod now. Cut and coated lb7 pistons. Head studs. Not sure about main studs and all that Jazz. The rest is just the small parts you’ll need with any engine build. Stock crank should hold that but it’s hit or miss. You can kee the one you have or get a new one.

Ne-Max is selling fingers pistons above this post, honestly buy those if you can. IIRC they are cast.

Pick up some good rods (Carrillo or Wagler), bearing kit, and all gaskets and you should be good to go (over simplified).

Also have crank and rod bearings. Lol

Id take Ne-max up on his offer for the pistons and bearings.
Look at Creatures of the Night (one of our vendors) for the gaskets, studs and such.
