Not to highjack the thread here, but ime interested as well. What can a guy expect out of a built lbz pikup these days? Mines got 160k on it, 18k on th motor an as far as being FULLY built no its not, Mahle cast pistons, carrillos, arp main an head studs, competition cam, ported an polished heads, energy 60% injectors an 2 new cp3 at the time of build. With a Wehrli dual fueler kit an a s475 kit from the same place. Sun coast trans with a 1058 converter, an a airdog 165. No leather no sunroof.

Built trucks are hard as hell to sell. Reason for is banks don't like lending more then the blue book of the truck. So when it books for 24000 and someone wants 36000 they throw the red flag. So unless you have 12000 to make up difference you are screwed. I see it all the time.

Cheapest lml is 42k around me, I can get a 15 for 45k with very low miles, but thats alot for me considering its completely stock.

I think I just prefer the truck Ill have more fun with, and that seems like the lbz once tuned and a built trans is in.

This dealer has a lot of good deals from time to time. They sell a lot so always a lot of new trade ins. Also they have really good specials on new trucks below what my employee cost is working for GM.

Yeah the local GMC dealer here is selling new 1500 slt loaded with every possible option for 40,700 out the door. They sell 4 at a time like this. You sign a legal binding contract that you cannot sell the truck for 8 months. Because at 40k you could drive it directly to the sale and make 6 grand. Sounds too good to be true, but it is true

Used GM trucks bring sooo much money that, most people with credit will just by new.
