I had been looking into a LML for the last week or so. Test drove a GMC 3500 Denali, everything but sunroof and rear DVD. Stickered at $61,000. Also looked at a Chevy LTZ everything but sunroof and rear DVD. Stickered at $55,600.

Dealers were only willing to knock $2,000 off. In the end I have decided to keep the LBZ for now, and keep an eye on the LML's.

I can see where Fingers is coming from....I have a 2007 Denali for the wife and he's basically right. The interior can use a bit of work for a 59K sticker. The interior is a lot smaller than my LBZ as well. Door panels and console is all textured plastic and cheesy looking. Heck even my 02 HD had some nicer textured door panels. The headroom in these trucks are also pretty pathetic. With a sunroof, my head rubs up against the headliner.

I know these trucks rock mechanically and I was considering one myself, but the interior kind of turns me off. IMO, compared to a new Dodge, the interior is second rate...

"Underimpressed" is the perfect word....

Before my Dmax I had a Dodge 1500 (Hemi, lol), and I think I definitely took a step down in the interior department when I bought my LBZ in 06. Sucks that GM can't seem to fix this issue (or come out with a Cadillac 3/4 D-Max).

I feel the new trucks wont be for the Enthusiasts. just as the Evo X and 2008+ Sti lost there character trying to please everyone.

These new trucks are built for towing big big loads the older trucks are lighter and easy to modify making them great for enthusiasts

If you have to pull 20,000 I am sure anybody would take a new model but if your like me and if you are lucky to see 10,000 behind the truck every once in a while. I will go for the truck that can be easily modified and weighs less

We've absolutely hated our 07.5+ Dmax, wont buy another one.

If we could buy another 05-07 classic for farm use we would, they take bio alot easier for some odd reason. our LMM hates bio diesel.

Only thing the LML's are good for is the road haulers, offroad/gravel haulers should be wary IMO. that DEF tank hangs a good 2" lower than the frame rail, if it were on our farm it'd be torn off 3x over by now. why couldnt GM put the fackin thing in the drivers corner of the bed out of the way? makes NO sense besides urban users (which GM bends over for)wont ever know the difference.

Mine it pretty close, not 2" lower that's for sure. I don't see it as a big issue like some of you guys make it out to be.

I definetly have to say the new interiors are a little lack luster. Right now I think Dodge has the nicest one - especially for the price they are selling the rams for. But after that the LML has everyone else beat IMO.

Personally I'm holding out for a half ton diesel. I don't even care who makes it first to be honest. I need a work truck that is diesel and don't want a 3/4 ton. I plan to keep my LBZ for another 10 years - maybe more so I don't need another 3/4 or 1 ton.

I have to agree, I like the interior in my 05 better than the new ones. At this point in time I sure can't justify ditching my more than capable LLY 4x4 crew cab (paid for at that) to drop $60grrr on a pickup.

The price of trucks is getting down right crazy!

Interior wise have you guys looked at the '11 King Ranch superdutys? As much as I hate that tan color leather it's a very nice setup.

I'd kill for a mega cab option on the chevy HD.
