Still no tracking, only promises as of 2-3 hours ago from both companies.

Problem is install is already scheduled out of state and I’ve got people scheduled to go with me twice to drop off and pick up the truck. It’s been 24 and 28 days respectively since I ordered this shit.

No offense but did you put the cart before the horse here? knowing you would be doing this out of state, i would have wanted to have parts in hand before setting anything up. one thing to do in town since the shop may not be that far from you.

I know for a fact that HSP takes care of the customers. They are not perfect as non of us are. I spoke to them about your order but I don’t know your name so that didn’t help as much as it could have. They will call me tomorrow so if I have your name I can get something moving for you.

So just as I suspected HSP strung me along saying they would send me tracking. I never got tracking and of course they’re closed for the weekend and then Whirley shipped everything except for the pedestal and turbo because now they’re saying they’ve got the wrong turbo and pedestals are sold out and they just got one and it will ship on Monday. I’m thinking you had four ****ing weeks to figure this shit out and you just looked in the box on Friday afternoon when you were supposed to be shipping? I guess spending 20 grand with somebody doesn’t get you much customer service

This just reminds me of how much they have dropped the ball on me. My s400 kit I got from them as been a complete night mare from day 1. Was just working on the truck tonight a little and it reminded me how shitty it is.

From day 1 i recieved the wrong intake pipe, they were quick to ship another. Then when installing it the intake wouldn't clear the alternator and fit into the air box. So i had to space my air box up 1 1/2" to get it to semi fit and beat a dent in the intake pipe to clear the b+ stud. Had to get a different 45 boot for my turbo because the one that sent was a joke. When you take the hot side v band pipe off it takes an act on Congress to get it back on and lined up.. i have talked to Joe several times over this but have got no where. I will never buy from them again.

Sorry don't mean to rant on the op's thread just wanted to get that off my shoulders.

May be a stupid question. But for those of you running a compound kit from any vendor did you notice the sound of the truck/turbos to be louder or quieter?

which is louder the s475 or s480? Both being billet, For compounds

I have used a 475 with a 87 turbine and 1.30 stainless v band turbine. It lights quicker than stock and will make 800 plus with enough fuel. It tows 20k pounds like it’s nothing. Possibility for more power is there with a 480 but it’s hard to beat what I have been using if it’s a working multipurpose vehicle.

On my lb7 the compounds made the truck quieter. Got rid of the drone in the cab anyways. I was running a stack. But I had a billet race cover and it soaked up a lot of turbo whine for sure. 475 over stock.

Update: I spoke with HSP this morning and they have not shipped my part as suspected but said they are coated and ready to go out and will go out today UPS two day. They gave me a tracking number for a label that was created so we we’ll see if it actually goes out and shows up here on Wednesday or Thursday.

I also called DuramaxTuner directly and spoke with somebody over there about the deal with their stealth turbo being the wrong part and they have spoken with Jason about it at whirly and are working on a solution. they said they would give me an update as soon as they know something.

Update: Cancelled the Stealth 64/67 hybrid because it’s not available now for at least another week. Going with a billet 64 stealth that they’ve got sitting on their shelf at DT ready to be powdercoated by WCFab.

Also, Infustrial just called and is going to cancel m install as they said the owner had a meeting late last week and said the EPA is closing in and so they’re turning away all work like mine. They recommended Matt at Tier One Diesel in Mesa but I’ve never heard of him and it seems he only does Cummins stuff.

i would not touch Matt with a 10 ft pole. Him and his cronies will bend you over the moment you get in with them. Matt specializes in dodge trans stuff and well.... it is lack luster at best but hes gone as far as doing ford engine or dodge engine builds to keep the doors open. The moment you challege any of them or ask a question they dont want to answer, they get real pissy and shove you out the door. I use to be close to those guys and then they turned on an instant and will talk shit behind your back without saying a thing to you in person.

Im working on finding you an in town solution ;)

Thanks for the tips. That's why I ask about this on here because I don't want
to get my ass kicked. At this point I'm considering doing the install myself though I know I'll regret it as soon as I start tearing it apart.

Id almost pay you to stay away from those f**k sticks they have pissed me off so bad :roflmao: and its not just me they have done it to.

Anyhow, i know it aint fun but it may be your best bet with everything going on. I honestly would have offered to have you just drop it off at my place and i would take care of it for you but ive got my own stuff to fix first. if you want to wait, PM me and we can work something out. in the mean time, ill see what i can find you. waiting on answers back from a couple shops. Would you mind listing out what you want done or PMing me what it is your after? that will help me get it squared away.
