Not sure why anyone would care about what Ford or Dodge "claimed" as specifications.

They normally just publish what they are told by their sales dept, not their eng'g department.

Example 1999:

Ford Mustang Cobra - 310HP at the brochure, 240rwhp on a dyno.
Chevrolet Z-28 Camaro - 305HP at the brochure, 295rwhp on a dyno.

It doesnt work that way anymore. There is a "WITNESS" test performed by outside SAE engineers to verify the engine makes the numbers on the dyno.

A few possibly dumb questions:
Is it possible to swap transmissions between an LML and a LBZ?
Has there been any talk of EFI supporting the LML yet?
Anybody have any ideas as far as deleting the cat, DPF, EGR, Urea, and whatever else?

Thanks guys. The Denali HD is looking pretty sweet. :)

"not really possible" If I had to guess, because the 2011 allison has a completely different valve body, electronically adjustable main pressure regulator, different clutch apply rates and stuff, and a new torque converter, none of which the 2007-2010 tcm has support for.

EFILive knows NOTHING more about the 2011 dmax and its ECM than we do, the thing wont even be out in the real world for another month and we are already asking this? C'mon give them a break... ;)

Honestly, I wouldnt even ask them even when it does come out, because all that does is annoy them...they have plenty of stuff keeping them busy and things that need to be done first...we all know that when it does come out they WILL look into it at their soonest convenience and tell us whether its possible or not...they dont need any reminders from us. :)

2003 Mustang Mach 1 - 305 HP in the brochure, 285 rwhp on the dyno
2003 Mustang Cobra - 390 HP in the brochure, 375 rwhp on the dyno
2011 Mustang GT - 412 HP in the brochure, 377-395 rwhp on the dyno

Fixed it for ya:thumb:

While I agree that Fords Mod engines (FYI the modular name comes from the assembly line construction, not the engine itself) generally suck, they built one of the baddest engines ever and it was SOHC. The "Cammer" was rated at 657HP and 575ftlbs strait out of the box in 1964. Not bad IMO.

The single overhead cam motor could make awsome power but reliablitiy was misserable compared to the Hemi's and GM wedges of the day, but yea it was a dominate force in the mid 60's, I know this as a fact as pops used to drive one a quarter mile at a time every friday and saturday night:thumb:
