I gave up trying to keep track of the dollar figure I have into my trucks. A good rule of thumb if you plan on building a motor and going big is this:

Be sure you can afford to pay for it twice!

Anything over 750rwhp will continually need your money if you plan on playing with that power very often.

That would be the truth right buddy!!!

I have lost count on mine as well. The biggest issues that I have had were not things within my control and for the biggest part have not be catastrophic. Then I seem to spend a little more each time to improve on something. That adds up quickly.

We just finished a little build here. Dealer dropped off a shiny new 2015 Denali with less than 100 miles on it. We installed a MikeL built tranny, cp3 conversion (not duals), Danville 3794 stage 2 and a lift pump. I loaded a basic tune that I've been using on my DD and WOW.

I took it for a spin and from a dead stop, it'll pull about 20' and then roast the tires through every gear until I got scared. Thing is a beast. I will dial in the tuning and have some dyno numbers, I'm really impressed. The truck is for a customer that lives out of the country and it's not broken in, so I'm not going to lean too hard on it.

You should definitely lean on her hard and post videos! Haha That Danville 3794 is an amazing VGT. Spools like a stocker, sounds amazing & flows enough for 650-700 stock fuel!

I got a 2015 I'm building.. Just got threw the basics.. Next few steps are the expensive part.. But without labor costs.. Your looking at this

Exhaust - 500
Downpipe - 125
Lift Pump - 550
EFIlive - 900
CP3 750 + Conversion Kit = 2400 or More if you want the 12mm stroker pump for 1000whp
Trans Build - 4000
EGR full Delete Kit -750
Intake - 500
Twins and or Large Single 2500-4500

Total 12-15k

on an LML i can see you getting about 650whp reliably... I guess u could always push it a little harder but my goal is to keep it around 650whp. I don't generally abuse my truck much. Then pistons, rods, and injector upgrade, ARP hardware and all the other goodies probably another 12-15k.

You can remove the downpipe, EGR delete kit,and intake from that list if your going twin turbo or single turbo upgrade route because those kits come with all those parts. :thumb:

We will be doing the B68mm Stg2R on our 2011 LML here at the shop next week and it is retaining all the emissions equipment. I think this turbo will allow for the better than stock driveability but increase the power potential while keeping all the emisions stuff fully functional. I will post it up as it unfolds!:thumb:

This is very interesting Mark. With California smog checks, I am super leary of pulling my equipment. I don't want to get pulled over and get a multi thousand dollar ticket and it is a pain to put it back on every 2 years. Are you thinking this set up might actually reduce regens?

I'm hoping so! It seems to have helped on the few I have done here in person so we shall see.
