Hey guys I'm new to the diesel world and I recently changed my fuel filter. Thing is there is a plug up top of the bracket the filter screws onto that is just hanging there.. I have no idea where it goes. And on the bottom of the engine block there is also what appears to be an electrical outlet?? Like an extension cord maybe? Would appreciate any feed back on this since I'm lost on it. Thanks

Hanging plug is the wif sensor, (water in fuel). There is a plug that it connects to, the 110 volt plug is for your block heater...

Sorry didn't understand this fully before. On the bottom of the fuel filter there is a sensor that screws into the fuel filter- the wires with the plug in more than likely broke off at some point on a filter change and the plug hanging is where that would plug into.

The older trucks have a round plug on top the filter housing for a heating element. I thought the lml's didn't have the heater anymore. Can you post a pic? Sure would help to identify.

Here is what the heater plug looks like. I thought lml's dropped it, maybe the older ones still got it?

I'm not sure where it is in the picture but there is a egr plug somewhat close to the filter head. On the other side of the ic pipe towards the back. It could have got there somehow
