So I have a completely stock lml. I just ordered efi live, exhaust and a lift pump. I wondering about what to do with the egr? I see sinister makes a kit. Is that a good way to go? I don't really want to start messing with the up pipe because I hear its quite a job. But if I have to I will.

RICK (Pro fab) makes a brace that bolts on and blocks off the up pipe thats what i used until i do the dp and up pipe. Its a very nice piece and then i just used the drp egr delete kit

So that would block off that upper piece so it doesn't have to be modified? Is it pretty easy to install? Is there any benefits to buying the LB7 pipe instead of just doing this? I like this idea a lot better!! I don't plan on changing out the down pipe anyway. I just want to do the egr delete and get the cooler out of there to free up some space. Thanks rmallen30

Yes blocks it off so it does not have to be modified and completely supports it so the bellow does not blow out. after you get the cooler out it is easy to install. getting cooler out sucks though lol.

pic is piece after install to give you an idea

Perfect! I'm going to order one of those then. Im not too worried about the cooler, I just hate working between the motor and firewall. If I order an egr delete I don't need their bridge caps right? because the egr delete comes with the big plate? Correct me if I'm wrong. Sorry still kind of a newb on the LML. I've replaced fuel systems on them but never done the egr delete myself. Why would anyone go through the trouble to change out the whole pipe when you can just do this?

Hp ? I used ricks cap on my lmm that was over 500hp and it still held but It was in the back of my mind so I eventually just modded my stock up pipe. And whatever Egr delete kit you purchase should have the block off plate w it where the Egr connected to the dr side on the bridge

I just realized sinister makes a kit that comes with the block plate for the up pipe also. Maybe I'll just go that route....I don't plan on going too crazy on power, probably just Efi live, straight pipe, lift pump egr delete, so I think it will pry be alright. I just want it to run good and last.

I blew the gasket on my uppipe egr delete once I got over 600 rwhp on my lmm. Id just do the modified uppipe, I have one and a DP waiting on my trans build...

What did it do when it blew? Leave you on the side of the road? Idk for the price and the convenience of it, I really feel like just giving it a try. Anyone else have the up pipe blocker blow?

It blew the gasket, nothing major, definitely not a side of the road type of situation. It just screeched when building boost. It was super annoying...

Why not just put a blocker plate in and leave everything in place? At your hp I wouldn't even do anything at all.

Yea I know I'm not going to see any big gains to speak of so I pretty much just want to clean it up and have a little more room under the hood.

Efi live with egr delete

I'm new to this forum so hopefully I'm posting this right. I have a 2015 Denali and am seriously considering getting an egr delete, 5" exhaust from the turbo back, with efi live tuning. How much of a hp/mpg gain should I expect to see? And what is a reasonable price to pay?
