Hopefully this thread isn't too dead...I have a slight steering wheel wobble as well. 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 HD CCSB with Duramax 56xxx miles. I usually only notice it while the brakes are pretty warm/hot. While towing and slowing off the interstate or empty and slowing off the interstate but not every time. Anyone with similar issues find the fix? I am thinking of either turning rotors or checking ball joints? Maybe slotted rotors? Any help will be appreciated.
Super common. I highly doubt a ball joint would do it. Not sure which rotors to try because oe seem to all do it. Maybe shop around and weigh each parts store's rotor to decide which one might stand a chance of lasting longer before warping. I have no good experience with drilled/slotted rotors, they all seem to warp.

This started happening in 2008. The cheap ass metal they’re using causes them to warp. I replaced mine with napa premium rotors and the problem went away. Like mentioned above you can weigh the rotors. If you get some and they aren’t any heavier take them back. You can also get a well know aftermarket rotor power stop, SSBC, ect just only get slotted never drilled.

Mines not an lml, but my 06 has 98k and still on the original pads and rotors and no problems here. Still have some good life in them.

Made it 100k before they got turned. Scuffed the pads and put em back on they had tons of life left. Slides definitely needed to be lubed tho.

Thanks for the input guys, I may look into either turning my rotors or upgrading to a heavier rotor so they don't warp...if that is the cause.

Another thing to add to my list that I noticed last night...at lower speeds my actual slowing/stopping pulsates, my brake pedal does not pulsate. Any input on the possible cause to this?

I’m not real clear on your second issue are you talking about during hard stops? Maybe a master cylinder issue.

Bet that's rotors warped issue too

still original on the 2013 with over 500,000 miles and it's pulled campers have of its life.

You must not know of the exhaust brake to assist you in controlling speeds. Even without it lower gears help.

on 2010 rears wore uneven, still had over 200,000 miles when those were changed. I changed the fronts at 600,000 miles not because of wear, but because they rattled.

I’m not real clear on your second issue are you talking about during hard stops? Maybe a master cylinder issue.

So while stopping (empty truck weight) from 45 MPH max once I got down to about 20 MPH or less I could feel the truck lurching...like the brakes were grabbing harder and then lessening. Nothing felt in the pedal, all was felt in the seat...almost as if you were tapping the brakes. Does that help?

I had 190k miles on my lml when I sold it earlier this year.. Brakes were all original and still felt perfect.. I was impressed
