I have a 2005 lly that dumped the bottom end and found a great deal on a complete lb7 I know i have to use the lb7 balancer and flex plate/flywheel and I've found other threads stating to use the lly timing cover and reluctant wheel just making sure that's all I need to change over to be able to use the short block from the lb7 just to get me by for a while

You are mistaken. You were reading threads about the 2006 LLY, which is an LBZ with different tuning. GM really screwed up naming it that.

As it is, the LB7 and 04.5-05 LLYs are pretty much the same shortblock. Reluctor wheels are the same. Front covers are the same. Balancer and flexplate are the same.
Swap the heads, fueling and turbo/intake from your LLY and away you go.

its an 03 block and the front timing cover is different so ill be using the one i already have off my lly as well as the cp3 from my lly since i know it functions properly i do need to be sure that the reluctor will function as it should if i use the one thats already on the crank from the 03 dont really want to remove the crank gear if at all possible
