Yes Steve, you are going about it the right way. It will depend on the amount of fuel in the tuning also but I run my vanes at 0% above 2600rpms and I have 56psi boost total and 65psi drive until I get upstairs and then the drive will climb to 80psi at 4500rpms but I can back that down with the gate.

IIRC, the LLY charger makes 22 PSIG (2.5 pressure ratio) on a tune-only truck with the vanes open.

But it is tied into fueling.

So if I'm holding 50psi of boost in 4th and the stock vanes are at zero percent all the way open the stock charger is making 40psi and the 4202 is making 10psi? If your right about the percentages.

No, you are making 20-25 psi out of the 4202. Unless you gate the vgt, even with the vanes all the way open; the ratio would not be like that. Exhaust flow through the vgt exhaust hsg would not permit that at higher rpms.
