Just curious. My LLY through a Carrillo rod through the block and I need to replace the block. Can I use an LBZ block with LLY heads, injectors, CP3 ,glow plugs, etc.?

This may help. I am pretty sure any block up to 2016 LML are interchangeable.

Depending on who you ask most think the lb7/lly crank is better. IMO they all break and one isn't any better than another. Now the LBZ rods, yes better than the LLYs.

They are interchangeable going backwards but not using a older block in a LML truck.

That seems like an easy modification to overcome but like I said not sure why one would want to. Besides the EPA I'm sure would frown on older power train in a newer vehicle.

This is true. I put my lly built motor in my lml. The passenger side motor mount didn't bolt up. I have a 3/8 plate bolted to the block to move my motor mount foward

If you get a new set of GM replacement mount they are drilled with both patterns. Just noticed the relatively new mounts on my LBZ have the five holes.
