LLY Swap in to Hummer - Accel Pedal Connector

Hi,

I'm wiring up the LLY into my 2000 Hummer. The donor harness I bought didn't have the jumper harness that goes between the engine harness and the Accelerator pedal plug.

I bought a LLY electronic accellerator pedal, but need the make/part number of the connector that plugs into the actual pedal assembly. It's a socket with male pins. The manual shows a 15318071 plug - 10 way MetriPack F 150 Series - Grey. That specific connector doesn't seem to be available anywhere. I picked up a black one advertised and described as (10 way MetriPack F 150 series) as the connector for many GM accelerator pedals - but it doesn't fit (too wide) and the pin spacing is closer together on the accelerator pedal than in the 150 series connector.

I'm thinking that the connector in the manual isn't actually the connector for the accelerator pedel, but is actually the one that plugs into the engine harness.

This one.

Is my only choice a 100 dollar harness, or does anyone know the correct part for the actual plug that goes into the APP itself?

Thanks!

Clarke

The picture that EFI Connection shows for that part is the same connector I've already purchased and it didn't fit. That is the end that plugs into the engine harness - not the pedal assembly. I had looked at this company and that product before - but ordered the connector without the pigtails and terminal pins elsewhere so I didn't have an extra splice in the harness.

Maybe that's a stock photo - I'll email them and see if that's the case.

As far as the conversion goes, it's been years of work interrupted by an overseas move and multi-state commuter job. Basically I hydrolocked the original 6.5 motor and since I had to put a new motor in figured I might as well upgrade.

The driveline is all done - and I had upgraditise along the way - 2006 Alpha Frame rails, 12K uprated cross-members, paint job, Eaton e-Locker diffs, custom front and rear driveshafts.

What's left? The cooling stack/fan shroud - I have most of it (not installed) except for any custom hoses I might need. A secure mount for the ECM/TCM under the hood, finishing the merge of the two electrical harnesses - LLY to 2000 Hummer, power steering/hydroboost plumbing, the dash (I'm going to go with a Duramax dash), putting the interior back in and any miscellaneous bits.

I bought EFILive three weeks ago and have reflashed my TCM and ECM with the needed modifications and Passlock bypass. I'm using a hybrid of the AM General TCM code and stock 2500HD ECM code because the AMG code allows for a switched input OD lockout and Tow/Haul without the use of the donor GM BCM. Hopefully the hybrid will work. If not, it's back to stock code and I'll have to figure out a Plan B.

I'm trying to figure out of I want to start it - for the excitement and motivation after so many years - or if I should wait for more of the plumbing to be sorted out..

I found it!

Interesting - EFI Connectors didn't know the part number - but I figured it out. The part they advertise is the other end of the APP connector harness, not the end that plugs into the pedal assembly. With a $35 minimum I didn't want to do trial and error.

The Duramax Accelerator Pedal connector is a Delphi Metri Pack 150 GT (the GT is important) 10-way - sealed. Part number 15326842. Make sure you get a the seals, and a plug pin for the empty connector.

All of the parts are available from Mouser.

With the accelerator pedal done and out of the way, I've largely finished the wiring. I powered it all up tonight and I have only three DTC's - all related to known items I haven't completed - power to the alternator and the glow plug controller.

Now I need to plumb up the tranny cooler into a loopback and add fuel to see if I get it to start!

Cheers,

Clarke

And a picture of the connector and the part numbers and the old throttle connector which is a Metripack 150 - but not a GT!
