2005 model truck that is throwing a P1093 code. Truck has a new fuel filter in it, tank has been cleaned out, installed a new cp3 and still giving us this code. We have also tried a lift pump and will not solve the issue. You can clear the code and it will run fine untill you give it wot and then it throws the code and goes into limp mode and only will run 2100 rpms. I have followed all the all data on this code and have come up with nothing on it. Any input will help.

Believe it or not the rail pressure cap was causing the problem. I was looking at all data and they have a tsb on aftermarket products and it said that the cap will throw this code and have driveability concerns. We put a shimed relief in it and fixed the problem.
