LLY or LBZ?

the dealer said I have A LLY motor but my plate is the silver colored one in your pictures it is gold colored so do I have the LBZ engine?

Count the teeth! Late "LLY" were detuned LBZ's

yea mine is A 06 just put it all together with A new crank from dealership and it wont start and I get crank sensor circuit malfunction code

or if mine has 4 mounting bolt holes it's A LBZ are the cranks also different? and if I have A LLY crank now can I file A tab off to make it work? sorry I just don't know what to do I have about 5000.00 in this motor now and it don't start. thank you all for the info

Get a meter and start back probing the wires from the sensor plug back to the ECM. I chased an issue around and it ended up the pin in the bale connector on top of the motor was not seated all the way. What specific code are you getting? Are the sensors in the right hole, they should not have the plug at an angle.

the code I get is A po335 and when i crank it it spins for like a sec or 2 then stops sometimes it spins a whole revelution then stops I checked the wires from the plug to the computer and all check good the two blue and one orange

and yes the sensors were never removed from the front cover none at a angle

If the truck is an 06, it is an LBZ.
