Currant mods in sig. Plan on studs, log style headers/up pipes, 100hp nozzles, 200% cp3, MPI twins, EFI live and all supporting mods to go along with these. This truck will be used for daily driving as well as 20k+ hauling every so often not so much drag strip or heavily boosted launches.
What and how should I build the trans?
I will have mods mentioned above while it's down for trans build.

your list is for raceing not pulling work truck and boost launch on a 2wd I try all the time the only thing happens is I smoke my tires and end up side ways

With the heavy fueling mods you are talking about you will probably experience high egts while pulling heavy. As stated above that mods list is for going fast not work truck/tow rig. It would be a blast no doubt and some of the high egts could be tuned out by someone well versed in EFI.

As far as the trans is concerned: you will need a full build to hold those mods. Triple disc converter, full clutch pack replacements, shift kit, valve body, etc. Your first call should be either Mike L. or Big Dipper.

So why even mod the truck to that extent? I would see headers and up pipes for some egt reduction, but injectors and 200 over cp3? What for?

I had an 06 cummins with 100hp nozzles, 85% cp3 with SPS 62 tuned with TNT/R smarty. Pulled man lifts, sky traks, back hoes and cattle trailers pretty regular. Egt's were capable of getting up there but not uncontrollable. So why not have similar mods on a Duramax? I'm pretty new to the Duramax but with right tuning I would think it would be okay. And I'm not going to be pulling very often anyways. I got an 05 cummins dually I mainly use but when I need to pull with the dmax I will.
I'll be giving mike l a call for sure. He knows his stuff for sure.
